WHAT
WE SHARE
Though we do not share a home
Do not be sad or angry
Each night, as the day fades away
Look for my smile in the moon.
I will do the same, and
This we will share instead.
Though we do not share each day
Of our bloated lives
Do not question the reasons for this.
At mid days time
Raise your face to the sun and close your eyes.
Feel the warmth of our touching faces.
I will do the same, and
This we will share instead.
Though we do not share our words.
Do not be distraught.
When you hear a breeze
Brushing through the leaves of
One of God’s trees,
That is me, whispering to you
How much I love you.
I will hear the same, and
This we will share instead.
Though we do not share a bed
Do not feel lonely.
For when it is time to sleep,
Go to a place where were together.
Dream of the times we embraced,
When we brought our bodies
Together as one, in love.
I will do the same, and
This we will share always.
