WAITING FOR ETERNITY
little nino has blow wet breath
and the morning fog is a blanket
on the interstate of commerce
yellow halogen eyes pierce grey dawn
masses moving hollow eyed
to make the day earn their pay
slave away to buy a microwave
big screen television
everything super deluxe
The American Dream to scheme
to be as big as you may buy
famished glances eat Cadillac daydreams
and everyone say ah at the dollar signs
new toy to fill the void
suburbia eyes rushing in i gotta have a speed boat daze
and i only want to slum it to bum it
to stick my thumbs to the wind
to see to breathe the primitive
Indian dawn of ritual beginnings
to be an empty vessel
echoing with inspirational breath
to plummet into sad gazes
and touch the heart with poetry
with smiles with energy
to ramble to roam
to fuck away oblivion
to write away red tape and fine print
to drift on the acceleration of the imagination
to run away with mad children
chanting love
challenging time
and i am waiting on the govermets to topple
in favor of the divine understanding
i am waiting for pigments of the skin to melt into rays of light
i am waiting on homophobics to abandon their fear
i am waiting on the abolition of hate
i am waiting for John Lennons imagination
and Martin Luther King Jr. s dream
to find form in reality
i am waiting on eternity to strike down the clocks
i am waiting on eternity to strike down the clocks
i am waiting on eternity to strike down the clocks
