HER
Yesterday
shed itself walking into today
I witnessed the dress of night fall
Passing the glitter shine of quiet sleep
Where the cool blue silence
Turned to today's sizzling roar
Violently thrashing at herself
A flash of yesterdays regret
Pouring from her mouth
Shining cries cross my peering eyes
Falling into stories of great tragedies
I caught yesterday in my arms
And with one begging kiss
I laid her to sleep
In this piece of my burning memory
