ABRASIONS

I think you're
allowing yourself
inside me slowly
lifting me weightless
but fast I hit the ground
I hold the tears
as storm clouds hold rain
hang heavy, moist, balmy
but your absence is rough
against my skin
don't you remember?-
your love blooms like a cut
bleeds into my heart
I miss you
though it's more of an abrasion
than an irreversible pain
a scar I believe will somehow
mend in time
but it further scratched the
surface than I ever thought it would
went beneath my skin, unwillingly
bruised heart
torn soul
I'd hate to mend
I ought to revel in the pain
let the blood seep slowly
and maybe I'd deserve
your return......
