"SYLVIA"

There is a fire within you;
A fire as that of the burning bush
Where you are forever to feel the flames,
Tho never to be consumed;
Sylvia, Sylvia,
Daughter of Athena,
Lover to Diantha,
You wear your tortured spirit
As a martyrs crown;
You have severed the artery of
Emotion,
But cannot halt the bleeding;
You have removed the arrow of
Indifference from your breast,
But still the pain persists;
Where, you wonder,
Does one go to feed
Mortal hunger
Lest the famine persist
Long after this ladder
Infinite stepped
We call life has sealed itself
Within heavens' ebon vault;
Sylvia, Sylvia,
Shed your robe of anguish
And despair,
Lose yourself in Elysian waters
And cool your incendiary soul!
